Hi, I’m Janu Botes  a musician, performer, and guitar teacher with over 8 years of experience in the music industry. I started playing guitar at the age of 8, inspired by a musical family and guided by my mentor, Nathan Smit. What began as a childhood passion grew into a lifelong career in music.

I hold both a Diploma and Honours Degree in Music and currently perform as the bassist for Bok van Blerk and Appel. That real-world stage experience feeds directly into how I teach — blending theory, feel, and technique to help you sound your best, whether you're in a studio or on stage.
